our approach
The program at Programme S.U.R.E. is therapeutic in orientation, design and intent. Curriculum is designed around a Life Styles approach that focuses on core subjects and combines individualized, interactive and collaborative instruction along with career oriented programming to provide a holistic educational experience. The linchpin for Discipline is the growth of personal relationships that assist learners to recognize, accept, and take ownership for actions and choices they have made. To this end our program is interactive, self directed, and reflexive.
student services
Student Services are designed around Individual Service Plans (I.S.P.'s) which are developed for each learner.
The content of each I.S.P. is based on goals derived from student assessments in the four programming groups; Academic Growth, Behaviour Therapy, Social Interaction, and Experiential Training.
Teachers and facilitators use the goals to guide the development and delivery of their instructional content.
academic developmentSURE programs provide alternative school and school-based education services delivered by certified, highly-qualified teachers in Math, Science, Social Studies, Language Arts, Physical Education, and Business Studies.
Curriculum design makes use of differentiated instruction, individualized student planning, progress monitoring, on-line/computer assisted educational software, and experiential education/service learning, all in partnership with pro-social relationships between staff and students.
